Beads of Valor Home Page Beads of Valor are designed to celebrate women's acts of bravery and faith as they navigate the cancer journey. Each woman's journey will be marked by many challenges and personal decisons. Every step requires courage and faith which builds strength to take the next step.
Lampwork and polymer clay artists are bringing their talents together to pay tribute to these courageous women. These artisans are donating their handcrafted beads so each woman can tell the stories of her journey. Diagnosis, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and special fellowship events are represented by style or color of bead. Every bead tells a story. Collecting the Beads of Valor allows each woman to design a piece of jewelry that reflects a narrative of her personal journey.
The Beads of Valor organization is a partnership co-founded by lampwork artist Julie Freige, of Beadazzled and Victory in the Valley, both of Wichita, Kansas.
Beads of Valor will be available those of you who are attending the 13th Annual Women's Weekend in August of 2012.
